Terms of agreement
Please read this document carefully before entering a rental contract.
Renting
conditions:
- Minumum age 20 years (25 years for fun-cars), applies also to 2nd party drivers
- Valid driving licence since at least one year
Payment
conditions:
Value added tax (VAT) in prices included. The lowest charge for the customer is usually valid. Included services: Liability insurance, full risk- and passenger insurance, custom papers, breakdown assistance, oil, radio.
Compulsory insurances are NOT included. Please refer to the section "Compulsory Insurances" in this document.
All prices are in Swiss Francs.
Payment: Major Credit Cards, EC-Card, Cash (CHF and EUR).
We do accept Euro bills.
Note, that the effective exchange rate will be fixed by Carrental inc. (in case of payment in Euro-notes) or your Credit Card Provider.
Insurances:
- Liability- and theft-insurance with deductable
- Full risk insurance
- Passenger insurance
- Intertour Winterthur insurance
- Transport insurance for collision-accidents with vans and delivery vans in Switzerland
- Breakdown assistance
The tenant's deductable is CHF 300.-
In cas of theft outside Switzerland and the European Union, the deductable is CHF 5000.-
In case of a
breakdown or accident, always try to reach Carrental inc. first. Outside business

The tenant is responsible at full extent for possible prejudices (recourse of insurance, rough negligence etc.). All accident-costs are enclosed in the full insurance.
Insurance
Costs:
Fun-Cars CHF 23.- to CHF 45.- a day
Vans and delivery vans CHF 23.- to CHF 35.- a day
Trailors CHF 15.- to CHF 35.- a day
Accidents:
transfers to the
Carrental inc.
- The costs for a replacement car.
- The commitments covered by the private liability insurance (bonus losses etc..).
allowed:
- Rides and journeys without necessary driving licence, learning drives, towing and racing
- Damage caused by drunken driving of more than 0,0%o blood alcohol
- Damage caused by driving under the effect of drugs or medicines
- Damage by disturbances of all kinds and wartime situations
- The Carrental inc. is not responsible to the tenant for expenses and failures of any type.
- The tenant is also liable for leaving a car to a third party and for possible passengers
of the contract
- If the tenant makes false specifications
- In the case of being in default or going bankrupt
In any case of termination of the renting relation the tenant is committed to the immediate return of the vehicle. Beyond that, the Carrental inc. has the right to take possession of the vehicle, even if it is on private ground. Extra costs go debited to the tenant
